Representation of wealth given off by oil extracted in the Emirates. Oil gushing from the bottom of the swimming pool shows the ease with which oil, being plentiful in this region, is transformed into dollars.

The promising results achieved in my work using acrylic is pushing me to hone my new passion for painting in oil. My first try consists of showing a famous holiday destination: Collioure port (in the southwest of France).

Representation of the Aquarius star sign on the front and back of the canvas. The canvas is positioned between two frames and placed on a swivel base. The canvas’ name is a play on words in French, “Verseau” (means “Aquarius”), and “recto verso” (means “double-sided”).

Very early in the morning, the “Gille drum” goes for the Gille (here, a child) in order to accompany him with the sound of the drum to the place where the carnival associations are gathered. (The Gilles are the oldest and main participants in the Carnival of Binche).

Representation of the flag of the United States about the killings of the past 15 years. The abbreviation of the state, the number of deaths and the dates of the killings are indicated on the red and white lines for what concerns the States forming part of the 13 secessionist British colonies. The others States are indicated under the blue plan. Information about all the killings of the last 15 years are also shown in the blue plan. The stars have been replaced by crosses. Assuming that the blue plan represents the map of the United States of America, the crosses are represented depending on the geographical location of the State. Lined parts of the flag are covered with color "blood".

WHY? : one more cross with other informations was placed on canvas this February 21 2016 after the shooting in the Michigan, 7 deaths which took place on February 20 2016. You can see it on the website on the second photography of the canvas.
